Updated: Jul 10, 2019

Forest View to host 3-day Tap Extravaganza.

Come thirsty July 19th- 21st, 2019 as Forest View hosts a Short’s Brewing Company Tap Extravaganza. Starting at 5pm on Friday until close on Sunday, there will be up to 30 beers on tap from Short’s Brewery and 48 other drafts! From flagships and seasonal handles, with a majority of specialty brews, there will be a draft for everyone’s liking. This full weekend event is going to be another one for the books!

This will be Forest View’s sixth tap take over with Short’s Brewing Company. The first was only a six handle event and was very successful. Every year since, Forest View has continued to grow this annual event into a weekend to remember.

Over the past five years, Forest View has done dozens of tap take overs and has rotated through thousands of different kinds of draught beers. Most of which were made right here in Michigan.

Located in Bellaire, Michigan, Short’s Brewery is owned and operated by Joe and Leah Short. They started their business in 2002, and although it was a very bumpy ride at the beginning, they never game up and became profitable in 2007. As stated in their story on their website, shortsbrewing.com, although they are growing into a large brewery, they take much pride in staying true to the origins of which they came.

“Today Short’s Brewing Company continues its efforts to make the best beer on earth in Northern Michigan. Although we have quickly grown to be one of Michigan’s largest breweries, we still take pride in our hands-on, mom-and-pop approach and the energy we put into the quality of our beer, food, staff, customers and facilities. We still brew our beer the same way we always have and we always will.”

On July 19th, Short’s will be returning to Forest View for a sixth major tap takeover. In addition to the Short’s beers being featured, Forest View will also have another 48 beers on draft for the event. That means that there will be up to 80 beers on tap for this eventful weekend! So, head on out to Forest View July 19th-21st, to take part in the biggest event of the Summer.
