On Monday, July 1st , Forest View will donate all bowling, food and beverage sales to the Alzheimer’s Association.
For the fifth year in row, Forest View Lanes- Recreation Bar & Grill will be hosting an all-day fundraiser to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. On July 1st, from 11:30am to 2:30am the next morning, 100% of food, beverage, and bowling sales will be donated up to $5,000. All surrounding communities, friends, and families are invited out to help raise money to put towards finding a cure!
This will be in observation of the fifth anniversary of Forest View’s owner, Rich Kenny’s, mother passing from the disease. After his mother was diagnosed in 2010, Rich knew that he wanting to do something to help make a change on the impact of Alzheimer’s. Rich soon after became a member of the Northwest chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Each year, one day close to the anniversary of his mother’s passing, Forest View will donate all sales for that day for food, beverage and bowling to a local Alzheimer’s charity.
After a long, seven-year battle, Rich’s mother lost her battle to Alzheimer’s on June 28, 2014. “This marks the 5th anniversary of my Mom passing away from this disease. I could not think of a better way to remember her by giving back to the organization that will someday find a cure for this disease! My goal is to have every bowling lane, every chair & table full of people all day & night,” expresses Rich.
Let’s come together on July 1st to not only help Rich reach his goal, but to pitch in towards finding a cure for this horrible disease. Every penny of all food, beverage, and bowling sales will be donated to the cause. Monetary donations are also welcome for those who are unable to attend but would like to show their support. Over the past 4 years, Forest View has donated more than $20,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association. This year let’s come together and raise $5,000 more!
