Local Family in Need of the Communities Help

Benefit to be held at Forest View for young family man.

Only 4% of heart attacks occur in people under the age of 44 each year. Unfortunately, one local family man made the statistic. Forest View is calling on the help of the surrounding communities to come together on May 4th to help raise money for Travis Garrett and his family as they try to adjust to this catastrophic, life-altering event.

Travis Garrett Sr. (31) suffered a massive heart attack on February 27th, 2019. He was given very little chance to pull through.  He’s always been a fighter and he wasn’t going to stop now.  He was transferred up to Henry Ford Hospital after a couple surgeries where they kept fighting to save his life.  After battling through adversity, he was confronted with another challenge of trying to get circulation back in his legs properly.

Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful, and they had to amputate both legs above the knees.  He is a strong family man with 3 kids which he will continue to work hard for.  Let’s all help them out by joining together for a fun day of bowling, raffles, food, prizes, and much more.

The benefit will be held at Forest View on Saturday May 4th from 11:30am-4pm. The cost for bowling is $20 per person with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the family! Not a bowler? Not a problem! Forest View will also be donating 10% of food and beverage purchases made by fundraiser participants. Individuals unable to attend the fundraiser can help the family raise funds by donating at www.gofundme.com/travis-garrett. For more information on how you can help the family, to register for the event, or to become a lane sponsor for $100 or event sponsor for $500, call Beth Crable at 419-270-8458.
